Schuler-Haas Electric Corp's longtime CFO, Dan Klee has decied to retire at the end of 2011. A childhood friend of Honorary Chairman Jack Schuler, Dan wrote the company's first check back in 1961. He continued to work for the company up until 1976 when he moved to Pittsburgh to seek other business opportunities. Dan returned to Schuler-Haas in 1985 and has been an integral part to the company's growth from 8 million dollars in 2000 to 48 million dollars in 2011. Dan has been a friend to us all and we wish him and his wife Jeannie many happy years of retirement.
Dan's replacement is a gentleman by the name of Daniel R. Streicher. Dan graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 2007 with his Master's Degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.99. He is a CPA who has spent the last four years working for Price Waterhouse Coopers in Rochester, New York as a Senior Associate of PWC's Audit Team. Schuler-Haas congratulates them both and we look forward to a smooth and successful transition.
Schuler-Haas Electric Corporation Receives 2011 Best of Rochester Award
U.S. Commerce Association’s Award Plaque Honors the Achievement
NEW YORK, NY, June 22, 2011 -- For the third consecutive year, Schuler-Haas Electric Corporation has been selected for the 2011 Best of Rochester Award in the Electrical Contractors category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).
The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Nationwide, only 1 in 120 (less than 1%) 2011 Award recipients qualified as Three-Time Award Winners. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2011 USCA Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.
